the mechanism

One whorl at a time.

The range is a shell

Every launch on Shellpad runs between the same opening price and the same top. That range is coiled into whorls of equal width, each one a step up in price, like the rings of a shell growing outward.

Climb, then rest

When a buy carries the price into a new whorl, the next one stays shut for a short rest. Buys still fill up to the edge; only crossing into the next ring waits. A single buy can climb at most one whorl, however long the shell has rested.

Enforced by the hook

The rule lives in the Uniswap v4 hook of every pool, not on this site. A swap from any router that would end past the open whorls is refused, so there is no way around it and no one who can switch it off.

Selling is never held

The rest slows the climb and nothing else. A sell goes through at any moment. If the price falls and climbs back, every whorl it had reached is still open: the rest applies only to new ground.

Liquidity settled for good

The pool's share of the supply is placed as one position the terrarium holds and has no function to remove. The hook refuses every removal besides. No owner, no setter, no pause anywhere.

A small fee in ETH

Every trade, either way and through any router, leaves a small fee in ETH. Its rate is a constant in verified source, not a setting.
